This is a limited-release, independently led student project that explores what Brooklyn College merchandise could be by BC Student gasnel jacques.
Rooted in research, design, and campus observation, the project considers merchandise not simply as branded apparel, but as a medium for identity, storytelling, and community representation. It asks how Brooklyn College can be expressed through garments that are thoughtful, culturally aware, and aesthetically intentional.
At its core, this project is about creating pieces that better complement, represent, and mirror the character of Brooklyn College and its community. Instead of generic collegiate products, it proposes a more deliberate approach — one that values design, materiality, and relevance to the people who actually inhabit the institution.
This release serves as both a product offering and a wider inquiry: a way of testing what resonates, what feels authentic, and what kinds of objects students, alumni, faculty, and supporters might want to carry forward as part of their connection to Brooklyn College.
